Over the last 23 years Karmann Konnection has grown to become a leading
supplier of restoration parts and accessories for Vintage Volkswagen, Porsche
356, and early 911 vehicles.
We started back in 1982, restoring Karmann Ghias and Beetles at Ritchies
house. A retail shop was opened soon afterwards to supply the rapidly
expanding cal-look market.
Our aim is to help you restore and maintain your pride and joy from '40
s models to the last aircooled T25's. Our knowledgeable staff are here
7 days a week to serve you. We also have a stand at all the major VW events
in the UK.
Our new larger store and museum is in Southend, Essex just off the A127
and we have massive stocks of parts and vehicles including approx 15 Split
Screen and Bay Window campers, along with a selection of Porsche 356's
for sale.
We hold an annual swapmeet, sale day and BBQ at the end of September
with over 200 VW's present.
Over 20 years mail order experience means your parts will be despatched
to you with speed and efficiency via courier or the Royal Mail world wide
service.

Still playing with the cars! Just finished a ’70 Panel van as a daily drive. Present stable includes ’52 VW Pick-up, ’53 Microbus, ’62 Devon 23 window, ‘58 356 Carrera Coupe, ’56 Speedster, ’60 Roadster, ’65 911, ’59 Slalom racer Bug, 996 Turbo, & a few more. Not too many cars, just to few garages! New project is a 356 Race Car. New-ish interests are Karate and improving my German! The environment, recycling & sustainable development are very important to me. |

Manager and Sales |
| I have always had a passion for anything on 4 wheels, even roller skates! It all started when I was about 10, loved the Italian exotic ones and my interest just grew from that. As I grew older I went to race meetings, Brands Hatch was the local circuit. Le Mans is a favorite and also any Drag Racing meetings, Top Fuel cars make me go weak at the knees and everyone should experience them just once! I have owned 4 VW's and a 911, '62 Camper was first followed by a '63 Bug and then my '52 Barndoor Panel, the 911 was my daily which made way for a New Beetle.. how delightfully sensible! Gran Turismo is my favorite video game, I love it! I also like gadgets and photography, I have just finished a website for my photographs www.julianhunt.net |

Rickards - Sales and Advertising |
I’ve been into VW’s now for 22 years, ever since Southend was the hotbed for Cal-Look VW’s in the mid 80’s. For 15 of those 22 years I have worked at Karmann Konnection, and I've met so many great people in the VW scene during that time. I've owned all types of VW's including T1's, T2's, T3's and even a Type 4 Variant (once!), I currently own a '77 Westfalia & '71 Microbus Deluxe. During my spare time I enjoy socializing, eating out, going to the gym and hitting the beach on my cruiser bike in the summer. |

I’ve been into Volkswagens for around 12 years now and have owned a few ‘interesting’ rides during that time, my favourite was a '58 Beetle. Away from work I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, wining and dining as much as possible, travelling abroad and, weather permitting, going out on my BMX! |

| Dom - General Hero |
I’m Dom, I started working at Karmann Konnection full time after my A levels, now I am currently in my second year on a graphic design degree and work at KK part time. I have been into VWs for a few years now, and currently own
a 66 13 window Bus and a 1970 Bug. I enjoy going out with my mates socialising and I am also heavily into bmxing, design and photography. I hope to go into advertising after my degree. |

| Jon - Mechanic |
I have been a mechanic for 25 years and am now fortunate enough to earn my living working on vintage Volkswagens and Porsche’s. I am heavily into the VW scene and enjoy spending time with my family and getting down to the West Country as often as possible. |
